Once you have logged in and gotten your first market set up you are ready to start selling products through Connect. Click on the Sell icon in the left side bar to begin.
The Sell Page is where you choose which products you want to sell each week and what quantities you want to put up for sale. If your market admin assigned products for you on their Local Food Marketplace site, those products should have automatically been imported into your Connect account. Your product list will show up on the Sell Page showing how many of each product are currently listed as available to buy.
If no products are showing up here you can ask your market admin if they can assign products to you in their LFM site, or you can use this Add Products Guide to add or create products yourself.
The quickest way to get your products listed for sale is to click the name of your market at the top of the Sell Page and then click the Bulk Update Availability button.
That will give you a list of all products with an open quantity field for each one. You can also update the prices of your products here in the Bulk Update Availability page.
You may find that some products, like the apples above, have only one quantity field for multiple selling units. That's because they are set up as "Type A" products, meaning the quantity available is listed in terms of base units and each selling unit uses up a set number of those base units. For example the apples are listed in pounds, and each selling unit uses up a different number of pounds. For more information about product set up see Key Product Terms. If any of your products have already been sold on the market site, the number sold will appear in parentheses.
Once you've entered the quantity available for each product click the "Save availability edits." Your product availability will be updated on your Sell Page and you can check with your market admin to make sure they are showing up on the market storefront.
If you only need to update the one or two products you can do that by clicking on the product name to reveal the quantity available fields1;and the price fields2. If you click on the pencil icon3 by the product name you can edit the product details. If you click the down arrow4 by the product unit you can quickly unlist the product, which removes it from the market storefront.
At this point you may want to look at how to add new products, how to edit your products, how to manage your producer information, how to add more markets, or how to use Connect to organize your harvest once you've made sales.
